I'm lucky enough to live relatively close to this terrific local delicatessen/Italian food market. They make great sandwiches, salads, pasta sauces and meals, desserts...the list goes on, and everything I've tried has been delicious. The staff works hard and are friendly and courteous. I love picking up their prepared sauces, pastas and soups for a quick-to-prepare meal at home during a busy week, but it's also nice to sit outside the market at the tables and enjoy the surroundings. Even better, they have just announced that they will be open on Saturdays as well, starting March 1st!

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE. I was looking for a delish affordable deli for the occasional out-to-eat lunch and Prontos' Gourmet Market delivers 1000/10 stars on that front. All the BLTs, turkey sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, etc are all 5-stars. They also sell pasta, meatballs, various side items like grilled chicken (which is a GREAT add on option for a little one). The fettucine alfredo I got here was just OK, so I don't know if I'd necessarily recommend one of those dishes, but their sandwiches, meatballs, etc were all incredibly solid.

Stopped here on our way from a massage next door while on a girls trip to Carlsbad. Got the best egg salad sandwich on squaw bread and took home a Beef Bourguignon with mashed potatoes to my husband at the end of the trip and he said it was amazing. Went back the next day to find them closed on the weekends which I found surprising, however, Friday was super busy and I guess they need a few days off. Staff was really good and very friendly. The homemade pastas looked amazing. I am going to go back next month with my husband to stock up on items to take back home to Torrance. Excellent little market. Wish we had something like that down here.

There is nothing in this life like a good old fashioned deli. Recently discovered our new neighborhood hot spot for sandwiches and deli salads, that good old easy to pick up and go. I have yet to pop inside but have ordered to go twice now. The sandwiches are thick and flavorful and come with a bite size taste of pasta or potato salad for a decent price too! This is def a new fave, can't wait to visit inside and expand on this review after trying more things on the menu!

Everyone loves Prontos. Great sandwiches, great premade lunch/dinner entrees and sides, a whole wall of frozen hand made raviolis, pastas, sauces to take home and cook (or store in freezer), and giant pastry counter. Reasonable prices. I am from way up in OC, so anytime i end up near Carlsbad I stop into Prontos' Market and stock up on a few frozen ravioli packs, one or two refrigerated entrees (manicotti, meatloaf, chickem picatta, etc), and a sandwich to eat for lunch (unless I already went to Pizza Port)

There is virtually something tasty and freshly made for everyone at Prontos Gourmet Market. Stop by for breakfast or lunch on site. Pick up a yummy dinner for your family on those busy days. Planning a trip to the beach? Pack your complete picnic from Prontos selections. Hard to buy for friend? Create a little gourmet food basket of condiments as a gift. Just last afternoon my husband picked up a couple of ready made fresh dinners for us. My selection was artichoke chicken. So, so good. No prep. No cleanup. You are speaking my language. been under new ownership for a while, and even though PRONTO's GOURMET MARKET has ALWAYS been good (see previous review), it's even better now. their extensive sandwich menu includes several favorites: the SUPER ITALIAN (mortadella, salami, capicola, provolone, pepperonis, lettuce, tomatoes, and balsamic vinaigrette) on a soft Italian roll, the ROAST BEEF-JALAPEÑO (roast beef, jalapeños, onions, fresh spinach, sharp provolone, and artichoke spread) on ciabatta, and the NEW YORK GRILLED REUBEN (corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and 1000 island dressing) on deli rye. my eighteen-year old Wyatt's partial to the CHICKEN-PROSCIUTTO BAGUETTE (grilled chicken, prosciutto, spinach, red onion, tomato, asiago, and pesto) on a toasted baguette and the CHICKEN CAPRESE (grilled chicken breast, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, tomato slices, greens, and balsamic vinaigrette) and the TURKEY CAPRESE (thinly sliced turkey, fresh buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil, greens, and balsamic vinaigrette) both on grilled ciabatta. the wife unit likes the HAM and BRIE GRILLED CHEESE (ham, brie, spinach, red onion, and apricot preserves) on a toasted baguette. we're mostly there around lunch time (weekdays they lock the doors at 5:30 pm and are closed on weekends). the menu includes wraps, salads, and pasta options but we always seem to get sandwiches. sometimes I pick up one of their house-made, fresh-frozen pastas (BEEF RAVIOLI, CHEESE RAVIOLI, SPAGHETTI, TORTELLINI, and GNOCCHI) or pasta sheets to cut my own linguine or pappardelle or use whole in lasagna. they also carry gluten free options like a VEGETABLE RAVIOLI and PENNE. there's an extensive selection of house-made sauces (MARINARA, MEAT, MEDITERRANEAN, POMODORO, ALFREDO, and VODKA and BASIL PESTO CREAM). since I was there, I looked over the take-home-for-later, ready-to-eat entrees like EGGPLANT PARM, LASAGNA, and MEAT LOAF before deciding Wyatt was having CLASSIC CHICKEN POT PIE for dinner. dad's taking the night off.

Right downtown Carlsbad Village. Nicest servers in town. All kinds of lunch goodies and packaged dinner/appetizers. And the best cookies and baked goods around! We love the egg salad and chicken salad sandwiches! Best since our Hermosa days. Great bread and best of all... free parking! Truly a place that gets it.
